- Senator Kenneth LaValle has secured a $500,000 grant for Rocky Point downtown. Further information will be forthcoming. The Land Use Com- mittee will follow-up.
- Maria Farley will be joining the Land Use Committee and will follow-up on the Ken LaValle grant plan. Dan Losquadro/ Brookhaven Town Highway Dept. has approved $750,000 in the budget for Rocky Point. The community grant for $48,000 has been approved and accepted by the Town.
- Jane Bonner’s office the grant will be used for street up- dates, street lights, crosswalks etc. Jane Bonner welcomes input from the community. Please contact Jane Bonner with any questions, sugges- tions or concerns. Kimberly will email the plan to civics. The pro- posed work was derived from the Rocky Point revitalization plan. The plan is specifically targeted for the downtown. A suggestion was made to replace the missing trees along Main Street. Deborah Hryvniak discussed the Rails To Trails. The first section has been approved and will run from Wading River to Shoreham. The first part approved will be from the Tesla property under the LIPA lines to Wading River Manor Road in Wading River or about 3.2 miles.
