NYSC Helping Folks Get Fit And Raising Sandy Funds

Whether it was too much turkey on Thanksgiving Day or just a need to get active, here is an incentive to join the gym. Starting tomorrow, (Friday, November 23,) New York Sports Clubs will be kicking off their "Work Out to Help Out" fundraiser.

The sports club is raising funds for the New York Cares Hurricane Sandy relief effort. From Friday, November 23-Sunday, November 25 members and new members can workout for a cause.

According to Spokeswoman Christine Denham, the NYSC New York Cares “Work Out to Help Out” fundraiser includes:

  • Selling three-day “Work Out to Help Out” guest passes for ($20) and donating 100 percent of the proceeds to New York Cares
  • Donating a portion of every new member’s initiation fees to New York Cares
  • Turning select locations into New York Cares coat-drive drop offs
  • Providing information about local New York Cares volunteer opportunities for interested gym-goers

During the Thanksgiving weekend, NYSC will be offering special classes, including the new UXF Burn/UXF Ripped class. For more information go to  www.mysportsclubs.com.
