A wrong-way driver on Route 304 in Nanuet caused a four-vehicle accident late Saturday night, according to Clarkstown Police.

Kristina Gaddish, 31, of West Milford, NJ was charged with driving while intoxicated and reckless driving after apparently traveling northbound in a southbound lane on Route 304. The incident occurred at approximately 11:51 p.m. Saturday and involved four vehicles, said police.

Drivers of the four vehicles, including Gaddish, were all taken to Nyack Hospital but the status of their injuries is not known at this time. More information is expected to be available Monday.

Nanuet FD responded and after securing all vehicles, and containing any spilled fluids, Nanuet FD returned to normal service roughly an hour later. Pearl River FD was briefly called in for possible extrication, but was not needed because it was found that no patient extrication was required.

Nanuet FD reports that some residents claimed that the force of the collisions sent debris off the overpass and onto Blauvelt Road below.

Mutual aid was requested from Pearl River FD, Clarkstown PD, Nanuet EMS, Pearl River EMS and Rockland Paramedics
