New City residents achieve at higher education institutions in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic

Dean’s List Honors

 

Colleges and universities added the names of New City residents to their Dean’s Lists for spring 2012.

The University of Delaware's Dean's List for Spring 2012 include Matthew Green; Andrew Greenberg; Carisse Hamlet; Harrison Herman; John Inanc; Jordan Naft; Evan Ridge; Adam Silverman and Lauren Wendorf. To meet eligibility requirements for the Dean's List, a student must be enrolled full-time and earn a GPA of 3.33 or above (on a 4.0 scale) for the semester at the Newark, DE school.

Roger Williams University Dean's List for the Spring 2012 semester requires full-time students to complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher. Local students at the Bristol, RI school named to the list are: Tracy Klein, a Math/Education major, and Kathryn Nugent, an Elementary Education major.

Marist College announced its Dean's List for the spring 2012 semester, which includes Sara Belitz, a member of the Class of 2014 majoring in Fashion Merchandising; Kaitlin Murphy, a member of the Class of 2014 majoring in Social Studies - Adolescence Education and Annmarie Zito, a member of the Class of 2013 majoring in Fine Arts.

Samantha Marks has earned Honors for the spring semester of the 2011-2012 academic year at the University of New Hampshire in Durham, NH. Students named to the Dean's List at the University of New Hampshire have earned recognition through their superior scholastic performance. Students whose grade point average is 3.2 through 3.49 are awarded honors.

The College at Brockport, State University of New York, recently honored students who excelled academically by naming them to the Dean's List for the spring 2012 semester. Joseph Carmello was named to the Dean's List with Honors. Students who earn a GPA of 3.70–3.99 are named to the Dean's List with honors.

Chanel Freeman, who is majoring in psychology, has been named to the spring 2012 Dean's List at St. Bonaventure University.

SUNY Oneonta named Joshua Burger; Chelsea Christonikos; Rachel Streitman; Meghan Hayes; Dana Giordano  Jordan Plotkin; Alexa Silver; Zack Mager and Sarah Vitro to its Dean’s List. To qualify for the Dean's List, undergraduate students must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher while carrying a course load of 12 semester hours or more.

Marlene Cila Pena was named to the Dean's List at the University of Rhode Island. To be included on the Dean's List, students must have completed 12 or more credits during a semester for letter grades with at least a 3.30 quality point average.

Sahil Grewal, a sophomore in International Business, was named to the spring semester Dean's List at Bryant University in Smithfield, RI.

Stephen Jean-Baptiste has been named to the Dean’s List at Berkeley College for the Winter 2012 Quarter. He attends the White Plains location in Westchester County.

Ryan J. Byrnes of New City has been named to the Spring 2012 Dean's List with Honors at McDaniel College in Westminster, MD. High honors are presented for a grade point average of 3.70-3.89.

Elizabeth Perez, a sophomore psychology major, was named to the Dean's List for the spring semester at Lycoming College in Williamsport, PA. Students make the Dean's List if they complete at least 12 semester hours and earn a minimum grade point average of 3.50 for the semester.

Stonehill College in Easton, MA recently named New City resident Erin K. Flaherty, a member of the class of 2012, to its Dean's List for the Spring 2012 semester.

Robert Wheeler was named to the Dean's List for the spring 2012 semester at Alfred University. Wheeler is a graduate in the School of Art and Design. Students must earn at least a 3.5 grade point average to qualify for Dean's List. Wheeler, an Art and Design major at Alfred University, is a graduate of Clarkstown High School South.
