Hudson Valley Restaurant Week Coming In March

Restaurants in Nyack, Pearl River and Piermont already registered to join Hudson Valley Restaurant Week 2013, in March.  What is billed as the region’s largest dining event takes place from March 11th through March 24th.  Participating local restaurants will serve a prix fixe three-course dinner for $29.95 and/or lunch for $20.95, not including beverage, tax or tip.  Local restaurants that already signed up for the seventh annual program are:

  • Alain's French Bistro in Nyack
  • AquaTerra Grill in Pearl River
  • Confetti Ristorante & Vinoteca in Piermont
  • The Hudson House in Nyack
  • Sour Kraut in Nyack
  • Two Spear Street in Nyack
  • Velo Bistro Wine Bar in Nyack
  • Wasabi in Nyack

Aqua Terra, Confetti, Hudson House, Two Spear Street and Velo Bistro all participated in the Spring 2012 event. Check back with Patch for more restaurants, last year 16 Rockland restaurants offered the prix fixe dining options, which can include three choices for each course - three appetizers, three entrees and three desserts. Participants also offer their regular menus.

More than 155 restaurants in seven counties, Rockland, Westchester, Orange, Putnam, Dutchess, Ulster and Columbia, have already signed up to showcase their locally sourced, original and authentic cuisine. The deadline has been extended until January 30 for restaurants and sponsors to join. Restaurant Week supports the local farm-to-table movement.

In March 2012, an estimated 220,000 guests dined out at the 204 participating restaurants and a similar response is expected during this year’s two-week event.
