Men Pistol-Whip Employee, Rob New Hyde Park Store
The robbery occurred Friday afternoon, police say.
Two men pistol-whipped an employee and robbed a store Tuesday, Sept. 6 in New Hyde Park, police say.
According to authorities, the men entered 123 Storage, located at 119 S. 3rd St., and forced a female employee to take them to the business cash register at 5:25 p.m. The men removed an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and brought the employee to a back office where they struck her on the head with a black handgun, causing a laceration, and took her wallet and cellphone, police say.
The men fled the store with the proceeds and were last seen on foot traveling northbound on S. 3rd Street toward Jericho Turnpike.

The employee was transported to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries.
Police described the first robber as black, 5-foot-8 to 6-foot tall, 160 pounds with a bald head and no facial hair. He was wearing a gray sweat suit and black and white basketball shoes. The second robber was described as black, 5-foot-10 to 6-foot tall, 200 pounds, short hair and no facial hair. He was wearing a black short sleeve T-shirt, black pants and black shoes.

Detectives request anyone with information regarding this robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
