Promise Broken, Luigi Still Hopes for New Home

Here is one of hundreds dogs and cats available for adoption at the New Rochelle Humane Society.

Promise Broken, Luigi Still Hopes for New Home

From the New Rochelle Humane Society:

Luigi is what we refer to as a “Broken Promise.”

Luigi was adopted from New Rochelle Humane Society when he was a tiny, rolly poly 8-week-old puppy. His adopter “promised” to love and care for Luigi forever.

But within a few months Luigi’s adopter was too busy to care for a young growing pup. He gave Luigi away and sadly Luigi wound up abandoned by this person on the streets of New Jersey. Luigi was found and taken to a shelter.

Fortunately, a microchip traced Luigi back to New Rochelle Humane Society and he is now back in our care. Luigi had received little training, and being a large dog, no one has had any interest in looking at him.

Due to the hard work of our volunteers Luigi is now a well-mannered dog, but still waiting for someone to pick him to be part of their family.

Contact the New Rochelle Humane Society for more information. They are located at 70 Portman Rd. in New Rochelle. Their phone number is 914-632-2925.
