Don't forget!  Tonight Rye's Mayor Joe Sack is hosting (and I believe moderating) a public information forum between SPI and the community.

If you still blindly think you "support playing fields" and have not yet asked yourself, "at what cost to my neighbors, the community, the environment and the park itself, and is this really the appropriate location?" you may want to stop by to hear the plethora of very serious and logical concerns people who don't support this have raised.

If you are pretty well convinced this is a bad idea you should come out to hear what answers SPI may (or may not - we have to pay as much attention to what this group *doesn't* say as to what they do say) provide in the way of clarification. This go-round, you're even supposed to get a chance to actually ask them questions. So, don't miss this opportunity to come hear with they have to say and pursue more answers if your particular concerns have not been addressed.

If you're not sure how you feel about this and want more information in order to form an opinion, this forum is for you too!

It's cold outside but City Council Chambers are notoriously hot due to the lights and heating issues, all that body heat in a crowded room will make that worse. We don't want you to leave early because it's too hot for you, so dress comfortably and bring layers you can take off in case you get to warm (there won't be much room for bulky jackets). I'm bringing a bottle of water too; the heat is so extreme in there that I get parched.

All attendees are asked to maintain a respectful level of decorum towards each other, the presenters and of course, our Moderator.

This event will also be broadcast live on RyeTv and live streamed over the internet just like any City Council meeting. A taped video is also expected.

Here's some food for thought that you might want to read before going tonight:
