Daniel Webster Elementary and Trinity Elementary schools in New Rochelle were designated as "Reward Schools" in a recent statewide report released by the New York State Education Department (NYSED). In addition, all New Rochelle public schools and the district as a whole are considered to be in good standing.

Daniel Webster and Trinity are among only 29 schools in Westchester County and 250 statewide that qualify as "Reward Schools." NYSED states, "Reward Schools are either schools that have made the most progress or schools that have the highest achievement in the state and do not have significant gaps in student achievement that are not being closed."

Daniel Webster received its designation as one of the highest performing elementary schools in the state while Trinity has been designated as a high progress school because the "school’s combined ELA and mathematics performance index places it among the top 10 percent in the State in terms of gains between the most recent assessment data and the data from the prior year."

"We are immensely proud of the educational achievements fostered by the hard work of the administration, faculty, students and parents of the Webster and Trinity school communities," said Richard Organisciak, Superintendent of Schools. "Furthermore, the district is delighted to have all of our schools in good standing and we are deeply committed to building on our success going forward."
