How Did Small Business Saturday Treat You?

Now that the dust has somewhat settled from the All-American, post-Thanksgiving retail binge framed by Black Friday and Cyber Monday (which this year is predicted to last for another two weeks at some stores), we want to know what you thought about modern capitalism's latest invention to try to get you to spend money on stuff — Small Business Saturday, which took place Nov. 24.

"This special day was created by American Express three years ago and has garnered a cult-like following," Patch blogger Scott Hunzinger wrote last week.

With the North Fork still peppered with mom 'n' pop stores and unique boutiques, the promotion, now in its third year, should have helped local businesses. Did it?
