ICYMI: Greenport Man Found Dead Inside Detached Garage

A Greenport man was found dead inside the garage of a home on Second Street on Thursday night, according to Southold Town Police.
German Mendoza, 44, was found inside a detached garage at 11:30 p.m. by a friend who was checking on his well being due to the cold weather, police said.
The cause of death is not believed to be suspicious, but is under investigation by Southold dectectives and the Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s Office, police said.
