ICYMI: Three Passengers Injured in Mattituck Car Accident

In case you missed it, here’s a story that appeared earlier this week in North Fork Patch:

Three passengers were injured in a car accident in Mattituck on Saturday morning, according to Southold Town Police.

Joyce Tancredi, 68, of Huntington, was driving a 2014 Honda westbound on Sound Avenue when another car made an abrupt turn onto Farmveu Road, police said.

Tancredi slowed down and was then rear-ended by Andre Vega, 20 of Mattituck, who was driving a 2012 Hyundai westbound on Sound Avenue, police said.

Tancredi’s passengers Ashley Zurick, 17, and Leslie Zurick, 47 both of North Carolina, sustained injuries along with Vega’s passenger, Anastasia Derenzo, 20, of Ridge, police said.

Mattituck Fire Department and Cutchogue Fire Department Rescue responded and all of the injured people were transported to Peconic Bay Medical Center, police said.
