LI Mariner With Medical Emergency Rescued, Brought To Shore: Police
The incident took place Sunday, police say.
NORTH FORK, NY — A man in the midst of a medical emergency was rescued from a vessel and brought safely to shore on Sunday, police said.
According to Southold Town police, the incident took place at 1:54 p.m. when marine patrol officers responded to the report of a man aboard a vessel south of Plum Island who was possibly in cardiac arrest.
He was transferred aboard the police vessel and brought to Duryea's dock , where he was treated by Orient Fire Department rescue and transported to Eastern Long Island Hospital, police said.
