Felony DWI Charges for New Jersey Woman after TZB Crash

She's due in Orangetown Town Court in December.

ORANGETOWN, NY – A New Jersey woman arrested after a 1-car crash on the Tappan Zee Bridge is due in Orangetown town court Dec. 14 to answer felony DWI charges and more.

State Police said the GMC Envoy struck the concrete barrier on both sides of the lane as it careened back and forth at 4:10 a.m. Nov. 13.

The driver of the GMC was identified as Larissa Spratt, 40, of Wanaque, NJ.

She was transported and processed at State Police offices in Tarrytown, where her blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.18 percent, police allege. Additionally, she has a prior DWI conviction within the last 10 years and as a result was charged with:

  • Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated; a Class E Felony
  • Multiple Vehicle and Traffic Violations

Spratt was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets, police said.
