Croton-on-Hudson Teen Accused in Yorktown of Drug Possession
A police officer was on patrol in a park when he spotted a vehicle he considered suspicious.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Croton-on-Hudson teen whom police checked on in a Yorktown park is accused of possessing illegal drugs.
Yorktown police said Jonathan G. Ferrante, 19, was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and fourth-degree criminal possession of marijuana, both misdemeanors.
A Yorktown police officer was patrolling John Hand Park around 8 p.m. Nov. 20 when he said he observed a suspicious vehicle.

After investigating, the officer said he found Ferrante in the vehicle in possession of cocaine, LSD and marijuana. He was arrested and taken to the Yorktown Police Department for processing.
Ferrante was arraigned with his bail set at $2,500 bail or $5,000 bond. His bail was posted by a family member.
