Here are some of the incidents to which the Westchester County police responded in the Town of Ossining.

Sunday, Feb. 10 – 7:42 a.m. – Westchester County Police responded to a report that a car was on fire on Route 9A northbound in the vicinity of Stormytown Road.  The vehicle was overheating but was not on fire. A tow truck was called.

6:34 p.m. – A resident of Minkel Road called Westchester County Police to report that a man wearing a hooded sweatshirt was banging on her front door.  An officer who responded located a pizza delivery man who had gone to the wrong house.

Saturday, Feb. 9 – 8:07 p.m. – Westchester County Police assisted an 83-year-old resident of Maryknoll on Ryder Road who was having pain in his shoulders. He was transported by Ossining Volunteer Ambulance Corps to Phelps Memorial Hospital Center in Sleepy Hollow.

Wednesday, Feb. 6 – 8:21 p.m. – Westchester County Police notified the town Highway Department that two street lights were out on Haymont Terrace.

6:07 p.m. – Westchester County Police responded to Ganung Drive on a report that a large dog was running loose. An officer was able to locate the dog and return it to its residence elsewhere on Ganung Drive. The dog’s owner was unaware that the animal had gotten out of the house.
