Five Things to Do This Week Dec. 17 to 21

Our picks for great events in the neighborhood.

Five Things to Do This Week Dec. 17 to 21

Monday

Laugh off your case of the Mondays at Littlefield Art & Performance Space for Night Train with Wyatt Cenac. Night Train will feature comedy from the best local and international stand up comedians, and will at times feature new and established musicians, local celebrities, and the occasional surprise that can only be found in Gowanus.

Tuesday

Catch at Union Hall. Karaoke and comedy collide at The Jukebox, a monthly series uniting comedians, storytellers, writers, and actors around a shared fondness for karaoke.

Wednesday

Want to learn how to make your own t-shirt? Take Screen Printing 101 at Textile Arts. In this 4-week screen printing course, students will be taken through the basics of screen-printing on fabric and paper. A simple project will enable students to learn to coat and expose screens, register and print.

Thursday

Have a toddler who likes story time? Don’t miss Ezra Jack Keats Story Time & Take-a-Book at Central Library. Hear stories and get a free book! Meet in the youth wing. Ages 3 to 7.

Friday

Still need a Christmas tree? You still have a few days, so stop by Old First Nursery School for their Annual Tree Sale.
