Sound Off: Cuomo for President in 2016?

Even Republicans have praised Andrew Cuomo's first year as governor; could a ticket to the White House be in his future?

Sound Off: Cuomo for President in 2016?

Gov. Andrew Cuomo's latest legislative victory-- pushing a tax deal through the legislature that cuts income taxes for the middle class and raises them on the state's wealthiest--has the chatter of a Cuomo run for the presidency in 2016 fired up again.

"Cuomo surely knows a deal struck with the Republican-controlled Senate and Democrat-dominated Assembly will boost his national standing for a 2016 presidential run," writes the Daily News' Kenneth Lovett. "Performing amid partisanship is in short supply on the national stage."

Four men have been elected president after serving as governor of New York: Martin Van Buren, Grover Cleveland, Theodore Roosevelt and Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

Sure, we are still a year away from the 2012 presidential election, but it's always fun to speculate...so let's hear it.
