Pearl River Hockey Blanks Irvington/Sleepy Hollow
Pearl River dominated play throughout, firing 65 shots on goal and giving up only 18 in a 6-0 victory over Irvington/Sleepy Hollow Sunday at Sport-O-Rama in Monsey.

Pearl River goaltender Sam Coughlin made 18 saves to record his second shutout this season. Adam Pesce made 59 saves for the Legends.

Five players scored goals for the Pirates, with Connor McMorrow chipping in two and two assists. Max McGee and Kevin Murphy each scored one goal and assisted on another and defenseman Gary Healy had three assists. 

Pearl River ran its winning streak to eight games and improved its record to 13-1 with the victory. The Legends, a combined team drawing from Dobbs Ferry, Irvington and Sleepy Hollow, fell to 1-12-1.

The Pirates' next game is 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1 against Clarkstown at Sport-O-Rama.
