Sons of Italy Lodge 2176 Awards Three More Scholarships
The Rockland Sons of Italy Lodge 2176 recognizes students each month who study the Italian language at area schools.

From GMG Public Relations, Inc.: The Rockland Sons of Italy Lodge 2176 recognizes students each month who study the Italian language at area schools. The students are presented with a monetary gift at a monthly dinner hosted by the Lodge members for the students, teachers and the families. To date they have honored over 23 students.
On November 30th, the Lodge held another dinner honoring several students: Villaggia Antonucci and Rebecca Schmidt from Tappan Zee High School and Samantha Impeduglia an 8th grade student from Tappan Zee Middle School.
The event took place at the Lodge location on Van Wyck Road in Blauvelt, NY. On hand were Lodge President Greg DeCola, Jr., Student of the Month Founder and immediate past president of the lodge Nick Sfraga.

The Rockland Lodge 2176 of the Order of The Sons of Italy in America was established in 1966 with the goal of enhancing the image of people of Italian descent and has grown into one of the most active organizations in the area. They will host the 8th Annual Italian Feast and Carnival, Rockland County’s largest family event on September 14 – 17, 2017. In addition to giving scholarship to students, funds raised through various events are donated to a variety of charitable organizations in and around the area.
