1.) Peekskill Democrats Present: Koch Brothers Exposed

The Peekskill Democrats are hosting a free showing of the documentary “ Koch Brothers Exposed” today at 7 p.m. The viewing will take place at the Senior Citizen Nutrition Center. The center is inside the Field Library, located on 4 Nelson Avenue in Peekskill.

2.) Hen Hud Library to Show "Sherlock Holmes - A Game of Shadows"

The Hendrick Hudson Free Library continues its weekday matinee film series at 1:30 p.m. today in the community room with “Sherlock Holmes – A Game of Shadows.” The movies, rated PG-13, stars Robert Downey, Jr. and Jude Law return as Holmes and Watson. Running time is 129 minutes.

3.) Free Blood Pressure Screening at the Hudson Valley Hospital Center

The Huds Valley Hospital Center, located at 1980 Crompound Rd. in Cortlandt Manor, is hosting a free blood pressure screening. The screening will take palce from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. in dining room B. Call (914) 734-3244 for more information.

4.) Hen Hud Lions Clam Bake

Hendrick Hudson Lions Club is hosting a clam back on Sept. 29 at the Blue Mountain Reservation, located on Welcher Avenue in Peekskill. All you can eat clams, steak, shrimp, clam chowder, dessert, soda, beer wine and coffee will be served at the event, which begins at 3 p.m. Tickets cost $45. For tickets, contact John Hunt at (914) 672-5182 or email him at  leadfoot2000@gmail.com.

5.)  The Hendrick Hudson School Board Meets Tonight
The Hendrick Hudson School District Board of Education will hold a meeting tonight in the Hendrick Hudson High School Library. The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. and is taking place today because schools were closed  Wednesday in observance of Yom Kippur.
