Peekskill Opens Section 8 Housing Wait List

The Peekskill Section 8 waiting list is opening up for applications starting at 9 a.m. Feb. 23.

Priority is given to Peekskill residents. Other priority categories could include senior citizens, veterans, the disabled, and people whose household income is 30 percent of the median income.

The average wait is more than three years.

Placement on the list does not mean a person or family is eligible—when a name gets to the top of the list, then extensive documentation is required during the process.

Information about it is here and only electronic applications are accepted here.

Date and time of application will control the wait list order.
