The weekend is here! Get out this weekend and enjoy some of these events:

Freedom! A 150 Year Commemoration of the Emancipation Proclamation. Thursday, February, 21, 10 a.m. New Rochelle City Hall, 515 North Ave., New Rochelle, NY. The New Rochelle Council on the Arts presents “Freedom! A 150 Year Commemoration of the Emancipation Proclamation” at the Rotunda Gallery from February 19 - March 31. The Rotunda Gallery is located on the first floor of New Rochelle’s City Hall at 515 North Avenue. Sip & Shop @ Bloomingdale’s. Thursday, February 21, 6 p.m. Bloomingdale’s, 175 Bloomingdale Rd., White Plains, NY. Join us for a fashion presentation highlighting iconic African American women with style that have spanned the test of time. Zev Haber Performs at New Rochelle Public Library. Friday, February 22, 11 a.m. New Rochelle Public Library, 1 Library Plaza, New Rochelle, NY. Entertainer Zev Haber will perform songs to get everyone dancing and moving beginning at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22. The performance is for children age 3 to 7 and their parents or caregivers and will be in the 140-seat Ossie Davis Theater. 

Brian Carter Quartet Performs. Sunday, February 24, 2 p.m. White Plains Public Library, 100 Martine Ave., White Plains, NY. New Rochelle native Brian Carter brings his renowned jazz quartet to White Plains Library. The quartet will play traditional and fusion jazz. You may have seen them previously at the White Plains International Food & Jazz Festival (September 2012) or White Plains summer lunch hour concert series (August 2012) - come enjoy their music again.
