Plainview-Old Bethpage Director Inducted into NYSCATE Hall of Fame
Director of Technology Honored For Commitment to Education in Plainview-Old Bethpage
Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District (POBCSD) Director of Technology Dr. Guy A. Lodico was recently inducted into the New York State Association for Computers and Technologies in Education (NYSCATE) Hall of Fame. Dr. Lodico was honored for his exemplary service leading NYSCATE as President, Executive Board Member and Regional Director of Long Island/Conference Chair for over fifteen years.
“Throughout his eighteen years of diligence and hard work to our District, Dr. Lodico has proven that this recognition is much deserved and we could not be more proud of his achievements,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Lorna Lewis. “This great acknowledgement is a reflection on our District and his leadership.”
The induction occurred during the 2015 Annual NYSCATE Conference held in Rochester, NY on the 50th anniversary of the organization. Dr. Lodico also received a personal star on the “NYSCATE Walk of Fame” at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center in recognition of his dedication to education.

Dr. Amy Perry-DelCorvo, CEO of NYSCATE, credited Dr. Lodico for playing a key role during his service as president throughout the transition of the organization to meet the 21st century needs of school districts. Dr. Lodico was recognized for his tireless service, innovation and vision leading the transformation of teaching and learning through the efficacy of technology for educators across the state.
On behalf of the Plainview-Old Bethpage Board of Education (BOE) and the POBCSD community, BOE president Gary Bettan presented Dr. Lodico with a Certificate of Achievement in recognition of his prestigious statewide honor at a recent BOE meeting.
