Renowned Chefs and Authors Lidia Bastianich and Tanya Bastianich Manuali to Sign Books in Port Chester May 23

Emmy Award-winning PBS television host Lidia Bastianich, and her author/producer/restaurateur daughter Tanya Bastianich Manuali, will sign copies of their latest books at an event at Tarry Market in Port Chester on May 23.

Lidia will sign copies of her new children’s book, Lidia’s Egg-Citing Farm Adventure, which teaches families with young children to think more about what food they purchase and eat in order to make healthier choices, build stronger communities and harbor a cleaner planet for future generations. Lidia’s other cookbooks will also be available for signing.

Tanya will sign copies of her new book, Healthy Pasta, which provides 100 simple recipes to make pasta an integral part of a healthy and well-balanced lifestyle, even if you’re gluten-free. Using ingredients and cooking methods that maximize taste but minimize fat, Healthy Pasta teaches what different grains mean to diet, how to pair particular grains with sauces, why better-quality pasta is healthier, the health benefits of cooking pasta al dente, and how to reduce fat and calories in sauces.

The book signing is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on May 23. Tarry Market is located at 179 North Main St. in Port Chester.

In addition to her television shows, Lidia also is a bestselling cookbook author, restaurateur and owner of a flourishing food and entertainment business. Along with her children Joseph Bastianich and Tanya, Lidia is involved in some of the most critically acclaimed restaurants in New York City, including Felidia, Becco, Esca and Del Posto. She is host of a number of award-winning public television series including Lidia’s Italy, Lidia’s Kitchen and Lidia Celebrates America. She is a co-owner of Eataly, the artisanal Italian food and wine marketplace, and she is also purveyor of the LIDIA’S bestselling line of specialty pastas and sauces. Lidia has authored or co-authored nine cookbooks and a children’s book series.

Tanya is an author, co-owner and executive producer of Tavola Productions, restaurateur and is heavily involved in the production and expansion of the LIDIA’S food line. Tanya is integrally involved in the production of Lidia’s public television series, running the Bastianich restaurants and the development of the website, lidiasitaly.com. Tanya has coauthored five cookbooks with her mother, coauthored the 2010 book, Reflections of the Breast: Breast Cancer in Art Through the Ages, a social-art-historical look at breast cancer in art from ancient Egypt to today, and coauthored the new book with her brother Joe, Healthy Pasta.
