Bosworth Appoints Transition Team
North Hempstead Town Supervisor-Elect Judi Bosworth today announced the formation of her transition team.

Art Gianelli, president and CEO of NuHealth, has been named chairman of the team, according to a press release Monday.

Bosworth, elected Nov. 5 as the 37th North Hempstead supervisor, said Gianelli's experience makes him the "ideal" person to help lay the foundation for a successful government.

“Having a qualified transition team in place is critical to achieving our goals as we prepare to hit the ground running,” said Bosworth.

There is no town budget allocated for the transition team and no members of the transition team will be compensated, according to a town official.

Gianelli has nearly 20 years of senior level management experience in the public sector, including service as deputy county executive for budget and finance for Nassau County and director of operations for the Town of North Hempstead.

A New Hyde Park resident, Gianelli is married to Nassau County District Court Judge Sharon Gianelli.

Justin Meyers was named the committee’s internal director. Meyers has worked in an administrative capacity at the town since 2006 and will aid the transition process from within town government, according to Bosworth.
