Prospect Heights-area subway, alternate side and event information you won't want to miss.

5 Things: 'Queen is Dead' Sing-Along, P.S. 9 House Concert and Subway Changes

Note: was from Prospect Place between Carlton and Vanderbilt (Come on people, humor me. I know some of you must have recognized it ...). Today's photo is from last year's Franklin Avenue Kids Day. This year organizers are and there are five more days to donate.

1. You need to ... sing! Finally, a sing-along for adults. Head to Little Zelda for the cafe/wine bar's inaugural . This week is for fans of The Smiths—the sing-along is to "The Queen is Dead." 728 Franklin Ave., bet. Park and Sterling. 8:30 p.m. Free.

2. You need to support P.S. 9 ... hear some good music and entertain the kids. Saturday night is the last of the year. Hosted by singer-songwriter Jen Chapin and Stephan Crump, this event also features the music of P.S. 9 dad and ”hard-tack country,” singer (according to The New Yorker)  Andy Friedman. Tickets include dinner, the concert and a pizza party and movie night for the kids. 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. $35/individual, $65/couple.

3. You need to find out what's going on in your community. Head to the montly meeting of Community Board 8 at Berean Missionary Baptist Church, 1635 Bergen Street at the corner of Rochester Avenue, 7 p.m.

(3.5 And don't forget the  tonight from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.)

4. You need to get the kids out of the house. Head to  for a 755 Dean St (at the corner of Underhill Ave), 10:30 a.m., $5/family. See our  for more options.

5. You need to know if your train is running ... Daytime, yes. After 10 p.m., maybe not. , with service shutting down completely between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. for track repair. However, 3 trains will be extended to New Lots during that time. For more information see the  MTA site.

6. And if you have to move your car ... Alternate side parking rules are in effect today—the next suspension won't be until Wednesday, July 4, according to the  NYCDOT
