Crown Heights Hit-and-Run Sends 29-Year-Old to Hospital: NYPD

The man was riding a scooter on Nostrand Avenue when he was hit from behind, police said.

CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN, NY — A hit-and-run in Crown Heights on Saturday sent a 29-year-old man to the hospital in critical condition, police said.

On July 16, the man was riding a scooter along Nostrand Avenue near the intersection of Lincoln Place and Nostrand when he was hit from behind by a car (pictured above), according to the NYPD.

The driver didn't stop and fled the scene travelling east on Nostrand Avenue, police said. The man was taken to Kings County Hospital in critical condition.

Detectives describe the car as a dark-colored 4-door Chrysler 300.
