Fire Damages Cars at Riverhead Dealership
An arson squad is investigating the small fire that broke out on Friday night, police said.

RIVERHEAD, NY — A fire at a Riverhead car dealership Friday left some vehicles damaged, police said.
According to Riverhead Town Police, the Riverhead Fire Department and police responded to the Riverhead Auto Mall, located at 1800 Old Country Road, on Friday at 10:58 p.m., where a small fire was reported on the west side of the building.
Upon arrival, several burning wooden pallets were located, police said.

The fire was extinguished by the Riverhead Fire Department; the fire damaged the rear of a 2017 Hyundai Elantra and the rear of a 2013 Nissan van owned by the Riverhead Auto Mall, police said.
The Riverhead Fire Marshal and the Suffolk County Police Arson Squad were notified and responded to the scene to assist with the investigation, police said.
