Dobbs Ferry, Irvington, Hastings in NY's High School Rankings

Niche.com, a rankings and review site, has compiled its list of “2016 Best Public High Schools in New York.”

These rankings are based on state test scores, college readiness, graduation rates, SAT/ACT scores, teacher quality, student and parent reviews, and more.

Niche.com compiled a nationwide list of all high schools, and 11 New York schools are in the top 50, including No. 19 Rye High School, No. 40 Chappaqua’s Horace Greeley High School, No. 46 Scarsdale High School and No. 50 Blind Brook High School in Rye Brook.

According to Niche.com, the top 5 public high schools nationwide are: No. 1. Stuyvesant High School in Manhattan, N.Y., No. 2 High Technology High School in Lincroft, N.J., No. 3. Staten Island Technical High School in Staten Island, N.Y., No. 4. Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Virginia, and No. 5 Adlai E. Stevenson High School in Illinois.

Rye High School was ranked No. 4 in the state.

Blind Brook HIgh School was ranked 12th in New York.

Rye Neck Senior High School was ranked 28 in New York and No. 138 nationwide.

Harrison High School was ranked No. 29 in the state and No. 145 nationwide.

Mamaroneck HIgh School was ranked No. 40 in NY and 207 nationwide.

White Plains HIgh School was ranked No. 44 in the state and No. 252 nationwide.

Sleepy Hollow HIgh School was ranked No. 81 in New York and 588 nationwide.

Port Chester High School was ranked No. 301 in the state and 3035 nationwide.

New Rochelle HIgh School was 77th in the state and 549 nationwide.

Bronxville HIgh School was 23rd in NY and 98 nationally.

Eastchester HIgh School was 183rd in NY and 1583 nationally.

Tuckahoe High School was 152nd in NY and 1256 nationally.

Pelham Memorial High School was 55th in NY and 358 nationally.

Scarsdale High School was ranked 10th in New York.

Edgemont HIgh School was ranked 33rd in New York and 155 nationally.

Dobbs Ferry was ranked No. 56 in the state and No. 363 nationwide.

Hastings-on-Hudson High School was ranked No. 49 in the state and No. 307 nationwide.

Irvington High School was ranked 83rd in NY and 595th nationwide.
