Irvington Water Quality Above State Requirements: Report

The village's Water Department recently released its annual report.

The quality of Irvington’s drinking water is above state requirements, according to the most recent of an annual report issued by the village.

“During 2014, the water system complied with all applicable State drinking water operating, monitoring and reporting requirements,” the study states.

The Irvington Water Department is required to test for and monitor contaminant levels on a regular basis, and while traces of various contaminants are sometimes found, their levels are below state requirements.
