Rivertowns Districts Among 100 Best Places to Teach in New York
Five Rivertowns districts are among many Hudson Valley districts ranked on this new list.
DOBBS FERRY, NY — Where are the best New York school districts to teach? Well, five Rivertowns-area school districts are ranked among the Top 100.
New rankings by Niche.com, a company which researches data on public and private K-12 schools, have answered that question, using information about teacher salary, experience and attendance. The rankings also take into consideration the districts' academic, safety and resources.
The Hudson Valley showed up very well in the rankings, with 7 of the Top 10 and 42 in the Top 100.

Irvington was ranked No. 16. It was followed by Ardsley at No. 31, Dobbs Ferry at No. 34, Hastings-on-Hudson at No. 68 and Greenburgh-Graham at No. 86. Click on the school district below to get more information about how they achieved the ranking.
"A high ranking indicates that the district contains great schools with exceptional teachers who are offered excellent support and compensation," according to Niche.com.

The website says the ranking provides a "comprehensive assessment of the quality, support, and compensation a district provides to its teachers."
The list was created using data form various government and public sources, as well as opinion-based survey responses from current students, recent alumni and parents.
