Debris Fire on Hen Island

On Nov. 23 at 3:48 p.m. Chief Taylor requests police boat to assist him in locating a fire on Hen Island. Two minutes later the Fire Dept. cancelled police boat respose. The fire was located as burning debris on the island and extinguished, according to the police report. 

Truck Reportedly Takes Down Wires

On Nov. 26 at 3:43 p.m. police received a report that a truck drove by the area of Maple Ave and Central Ave and took down wires at the location. Police searched the area for truck and closed the matter with a report.

Squirrel Trapped in Basement

On Nov. 27 at 8:12 a.m. a resident stated an animal, possibly a squirrel, was trapped in her basement on Eve Lane. Police dispatched found a squirrel in the basement and advised the resicen to call a trapper. 

Mistaken Identity

On Nov. 23 at 9:55 .m. Rye Brook dispatcher received a 911 call from a resident following a vehicle that peeled out of their driveway when confronted on Forest Ave and Grace Church Street in Rye. Re police sent three cars and reported the incident as “mistaken identity.”
