Crime Report: Damaged Park Sign, Car vs. Baseball Bat

A list of incidents and arrests in Farmingville and Holbrook last week as reported by the 5th Precinct.

Crime Report: Damaged Park Sign, Car vs. Baseball Bat

The following information is directly from the Suffolk County Police Department's media incidents list .

Farmingville

  • The Farmingville Hills County Park sign was vandalized on October 20. According to the complaint, the sign, located on Horseblock Road, was damaged at around midnight.
  • Police responded to a call for criminal mischief on October 19 after a call came in that a man had been beaten and left on 4th Street at around 11 p.m.
  • Police responded to a call for criminal mischief on Warren Court on October 17 after a complainant stated that her boyfriend had done damage to her car and then left. The call came in at 10 p.m.
  • Police answered a call for harassment on Ridewood Avenue on October 16 at around 9:30 p.m. According to the complaint an intoxicated husband had pushed the complainant to the floor. The caller notified police that guns were in the house, under lock and key.
  • Caitlin Marino, of Farmingville was arrested on October 15 for  second-degree burglary of a home.

Holbrook

  • Police responded to a call for grand larceny after a pocketbook was reported stolen on Center Street on October 20. The call came in at around 1:30 a.m.
  • Police answered a call for grand larceny on Ralph Street after a caller said their 2000 Honda Civic was stolen right out of their driveway on October 18. The call came in at around 6:30 p.m.
  • Police responded to a call for harassment on Byran Way on October 17 at around 6 p.m. According to the complaint, the caller may have known the suspect and witnessed him do criminal mischief to his car.
  • Police responded to a call for criminal mischief on Grundy Avenue on October 16. According to the caller a known male suspect struck the caller's car with a baseball bat at around 3:20 a.m.
