Patch Picks: Top 5 Fashion Finds for Fall

Sadly, it’s time to say goodbye to tank tops and flip flops, but gladly, it’s hello knit hats and fluffy sweaters. It is time to pack up your spring/summer apparel and bring out those body-hiding flannel PJs and overalls…wait, no, not the overalls. While you are piling on the layers, you can still be in style, so Sachem Patch has chosen the fashion pieces that you may want to add to your closet for this fall.

Sachem Patch picks the Top 5 Fall Fashion Trends:

  1. Flat Boots: Sure heels make your legs look long and slender, but flat boots are more comfortable to wear and they are in this season. Plus, the higher the boot goes up your leg the better and if the boots have laces you get extra style points. Pair them with skinny jeans or leggings to spotlight how cool they are.
  2. Colorful Pants: On the runways and off there are pants in a variety of colors. If you aren’t ready for bright, eye-popping colors like red and orange, you can try more subdued hues like burgundy, green, navy, mustard and dusty rose. Don’t just wear jeans or black slacks all fall, try something interesting and new.
  3. Polka Dots: Now, this trend goes for both men and women, even if some men aren’t brave enough to rock the dots. Polka dots in most shades are in but the black and white combinations are most popular. Guys, try a bow or neck tie and ladies, ruffled blouses and dresses look great in polka dots.
  4. Cuff Bracelets: There are tons of cuff bracelets out there and they can be dressed up in gold or silver or dressed down in distressed leather or gunmetal. It is probably not a good idea to wear more than one, but a cuff bracelet could go with pretty much anything, as long as you know how to wear it. Bracelets with buckles add a little something to the accessory.
  5. Fur: This may be a long shot, but anything with fur is popular for fall. You may want to ease into it with a fur vest or fur accents on a pair of boots because it is a trend that could work against you. In order to stay PC and not get soaked in red paint, faux fur is a better option than real fur, and it is much cheaper. Also, you may be the only one that knows the difference.
