Sayville Vehicle Fire Closes Lanes On Sunrise Highway: Police

Eastbound lanes are currently closed after a vehicle went aflame on Monday morning, police say.

SAYVILLE, NY — Suffolk County officials are investigating a vehicle fire, which closed lanes eastbound on Sunrise Highway on Monday morning, Suffolk County police confirmed with Patch.

Officers received a call at about 10:57 a.m. about a vehicle on fire at eastbound around exit 46A, police said.

All lanes between exit 48 - Smithtown Avenue; Locust Avenue and exit 46 - Carleton Avenue; Connetquot Avenue were closed but have been re-opened, according to 511NY.
