Prime's Owners Open Catering Site

The Harbor at Prime, a stylish new catering facility, is officially open in Huntington.

Town Supervisor Frank P. Petrone, Town Council members Susan Berland and Mark Cuthbertson and Huntington Chamber of Commerce representatives were among the dignitaries on hand to cut the ribbon, along with Michael and Kurt Bohlsen, who also own Prime restaurant next door.

St. James Vineyard Offers First Tastes of Its Reserve, Estate Wines

Wine lovers are flocking to St. James' newest vineyard to raise a glass and sample the one of six handcrafted Long Island vintages.

Whisper Vineyards has released five of its first wines in its new St. James tasting room, which opened on Nov. 25 despite controversy. The refurbished Borella farm stand on Edgewood Avenue now serves as a refined boutique serving wines that are nearly 10 years in the making.


Gilly Hicks to Shutter Mall Location Next Month

Intimate apparel retailer Gilly Hicks will be shuttering all stores by early next year, including its location in the Smith Haven Mall.

Owned by Abercrombie & Fitch, the chain was intended to compete with stores like Victoria’s Secret and Aerie. According to a statement, the first store was opened in 2008. There are about 20 locations in the United States.


Commack Breakfast Reopens

Commack Breakfast is getting a new life after the sudden death of its former owner, Peter Fedden.

The Hender family, of Commack, reopened the business last week.
