SMITHTOWN, NY - Firefighters battled a car fire in front of a Smithtown auto repair shop on Monday afternoon.

Members of the Smithtown Fire Department responded to Smithtown Auto Works on 324 Middle Country Road at about 4:05 p.m.

Responding firefighters went to work on a car fire involving a compact white vehicle used for commercial purposes.
