Bridgehampton Woman Drives Drunk, Crashes Into Tree: Police
The driver was taken to Southampton Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, police said.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY: A Bridgehampton woman was charged with driving while intoxicated Thursday after she crashed her car into a tree, police said.
According to Southampton Town Police, the accident took place at 11:17 p.m. on Hildreth Ave. and Ocean Road in Bridgehampton when Elizabeth Obley, 50, was involved in a single car motor vehicle accident after hitting the tree.
Southampton Town Police responded to the call of an accident with the assistance of the Bridgehampton Fire Department Ambulance; upon investigation it was found that Obley was driving while intoxicated, police said.

Obley was transported by ambulance to Southampton Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, police said.
She was released and subsequently transported to Southampton Town Police headquarters for processing, police said.

Obley was charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, and moving from lane unsafely, a violation, police said; Obley was held for morning arraignment in the Southampton Town justice court.
