The following information was supplied by the Southampton Town Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate guilt.

• Police were called to a house on the Huntington Crossway in Bridgehampton for an aided case, and they ended up arresting the alleged victim at the hospital. Police said Jason D. Hopson, 41, of Bridgehampton, sustained a minor injury during a dispute. However, an investigation revealed the man had an active bench warrant for failure to appear in court on Oct. 11 on a prior DWI charge. He was transported to by ambulance, to Southampton Hospital for treatment and arrested upon his discharge at 8:15 p.m.

• Trumaine Scott Smith, 24, of Southampton, was arrested on a drunken driving charge after he was pulled over at the intersection of North Sea Road and County Road 39 on Dec. 28 at about 4:45 a.m. Police said he had moved unsafely from his lane in a 2003 Honda and appeared intoxicated when they interviewed him. His blood alcohol level was allegedly .22. He was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and a traffic infraction.
