Four People Sent to Hospital After Crash, Car Fire in Bridgehampton

The four people in the two-vehicle crash were sent to Southampton Hospital for minor injuries after the incident on Monday.

Four people were sent to Southampton Hospital for minor injuries after a crash and car fire on Montauk Highway in Bridgehampton on Monday, The East Hampton Star reports.

According to The East Hampton Star, an SUV and a dump truck crashed head-on at about 7 a.m. east of the Bridgehampton Commons in from of the Citarella market.

One of the vehicles skidded on the wet pavement and the SUV then caught on fire, according to The East Hampton Star. The SUV, which was destroyed by the fire, was put out by the Bridgehampton Fire Department firefighters, according to The East Hampton Star.

Before the chief arrived at the seen, all four occupants were pulled out of their vehicles by several Samaritans, according to the East Hampton Star.

The police are still investigating the situation.
