Java Nation Exiting Harbor, Heading to Bridgehampton

After 17 and a half years in the Shopping Cove in the heart of Sag Harbor Village, Java Nation will uproot and move to Bridgehampton, Curbed Hamptons reports.

The café and coffee roaster's month-to-month agreement with landlord Bruce Slovin , when Slovin told owners Andres and Cheryl Bedini to be out by Jan. 31. But , as the Bedinis refused to leave on short notice. Andres Bedini said at the time that he needs to bring in professionals to relocate certain equipment, like Java Nation's roaster, and he told his landlord to either give him more time or take him to court.

Cheryl Bedini emailed Curbed Hamptons saying that Java Nation will close Sunday at 11:59 p.m. and start moving into 112 Maple Lane in Bridgehampton, near the railroad station. She said the new space will be three times the size and they intend to broaden their wholesale and retail operation. The café side of the business is expected to open in a few weeks.
