Unlicensed Man Slapped With Felony DWI Charge in Hampton Bays: Police
The driver was stopped for vehicle and traffic violations on St. Patrick's Day, police said.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY: An unlicensed Hampton Bays man was busted for driving drunk on St. Patrick's Day in Hampton Bays, police said.
According to Southampton Town Police, Selven Maldonado-Buezo, 28, of Hampton Bays was arrested on Thursday at 11:28 p.m., after a call was received about an "erratic motorist" driving a white pickup truck eastbound on Montauk Highway.
Police observed the vehicle operated by Maldonado-Buezo; he was stopped for vehicle and traffic violations, police said.

Responding officers subsequently determined Maldonado-Buezo to be intoxicated and he was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, a felony, due to a prior conviction within the last ten years, police said.
He was also charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failing to signal, both traffic violations, police said.

Maldonado-Buezo was held overnight at Southampton Town Police headquarters for morning arraignment at Southampton Town Justice Court, police said.
