UPDATE: Route 121 Reopened after Fatal Southeast Fire
Police have identified the victim.

UPDATE 2:19PM: Route 121 has been re-opened in both directions between I-84 and Vail Boulevard, state transportation officials said.
UPDATE: New York State Police have identified the Southeast resident who died in an overnight fire at 2 Maple Lane in Vail's Grove.
Eugene Cosson, 50, was located inside of the home, dead, when firefighters were able to enter, police said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the State Police and the Putnam County Fire Investigation Team.
The fire was brought under control by the Brewster Fire Department, Croton Falls Fire Department, Danbury Fire Department, Carmel Fire Department, Lake Carmel Fire Department, and the Putnam Lake Fire Department.

SOUTHEAST, NY — A Southeast resident died in an early morning fire in Vail's Grove. Two other residents escaped the blaze, which started after 3 a.m.
“When I pulled on location it was almost fully involved," Phil McMurray, Brewster Fire Department first assistant chief, told The Journal News. "Heavy fire was blowing out the front windows into the roof line…Very tough fire to fight.”
TJN said a Croton Falls firefighter sustained minor burns.
State transportation officials said Route 121 was closed in both directions between I-84 and Vail Boulevard at 5:01AM but was expected to be reopened before noon.
