Fiery Crash Kills Mahopac Teen

The accident happened on Woodbine Drive, police told reporters.

MAHOPAC, NY — An 18-year-old died after a one-car crash in Mahopac Thursday night, according to news reports.

The crash occurred at 11:30 p.m. on Woodbine Drive, when John Rossetti Jr. crashed into a pine tree, which caused his car to flip onto its side. It caught on fire. Rossetti was unconscious when Officer Christopher Fox pulled him out and Officer Neil Brown helped carry him away from the flames, police told reporters.

He was rushed to Putnam Hospital Center after the crash. He was pronounced dead at 12:27 a.m.
