Son of Carmel Firefighter Who Died 9/11 to Throw First Pitch at Citi Field Thursday
Brian Harlin is one of 3 scheduled for the ceremony as part of the NY Police and Fire Widows' and Children's Benefit Fund's annual outing.

Carmel resident Brian Harlin will help throw out the first ball at Citi Field on Thursday.
It's part of a tradition that started more than three decades ago, as former New York Met Rusty Staub and the New York Police and Fire Widows' and Children’s Benefit Fund will host more than 800 family members and supporters of fallen New York Police Officers and Firefighters, Port Authority Police, and EMS Personnel at the fund's Annual Game & Family Day.
The day will feature a pre-game barbeque and family picnic event with special appearances by former New York Mets players as well as top officials from the Police and Fire Departments, including NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton and FDNY Commissioner Daniel Nigro.
