Syosset spirit was in full bloom Saturday as the Braves took on the Valley Stream Central Eagles at Homecoming Saturday afternoon.
Syosset's Joe Morris set the tone for the game, scoring a 15-yard touchdown just four minutes into the first quarter. Morris and Syosset's Hunter Gross scored again in the second quarter, bringing the game to 23-0. VSC grabbed one touchdown in the third quarter, but wasn't able to pull past the Braves. "The Syosset Braves are going to shut a lot of doubters up if they win next week," tweeted Patch blogger Jake Asman after the game. "They are a win away from the playoffs after starting 0-2."
