For this month's we are making our way downtown to Syosset's largest family festival on Thursday, August 9 through Sunday, August 12 at the north railroad station parking lot by the fire house for annual festival.

You probably have seen signs up everywhere reminding you to attend this worthwhile four-day carnival, sponsored by the Joseph J. Gorman Knights of Columbus Council. Besides rides galore, there will be games of chance, raffles, vendors selling all kinds of fare, and a fireworks display on Saturday in the evening.

As an added bonus, make sure to check out the face painting, clown, and balloon animals.

Once again Tobay will provide their "Showmobile", a portable stage on wheels and throughout the duration of the event, you will get to enjoy live music.

And if you like to see more wheels in motion, meander around the pristine vehicles at Classic Car Night.

So that you can come by every day and bump into friends you haven't seen all summer, here are the hours:

Thursday, August 9: 6pm until 11pm

Friday, August 10: 6pm until 11pm

Saturday, August 11: 2pm until 11pm

Sunday, August 12: 2pm until 11pm

P.O.P. tickets are available for unlimited rides, good for either Saturday or Sunday but not in the evenings.
