Here's the latest on what's open around town post-Sandy.

Updated: Syosset: Open for Business

As the cans of soup and rolls of toilet paper begin to run out, Syosset residents are venturing into town to get warm meals and essentials to continue surviving.

We'll update this list as the days go by. Please add your own observations in the comments below.

Grocery stores:

King Kullen is open for normal business hours.

Stop & Shop in Woodbury is open for normal hours. The store was doling out free pack ice Wednesday until their shipment of ice arrived Thursday.

Restaurants:

Bagel Master

Celebrity Diner

Dunkin Donuts

Lia's Pizzeria

The Healthy Eatery

Mario's Pizza

Starbucks

Gas:

All gas stations are reportedly open, though they are running out of fuel quickly.

Resources:

Syosset Public Library will be open 9-5 p.m. everyday this week.

Syosset Post Office will be open for normal hours until further notice.

Charging stations:

Home Depot has reportedly set up a charging station, in addition to being a large source for batteries, flashlights, lanters, and other home needs.

Mathnasium: open Monday 10:30-3:30 p.m. for anyone who needs to charge their phone, use the internet, use workspace or warm-up. Please try to call ahead if possible.

Starbucks in Syosset and Woodbury are both open for business but are packed to the brim with people charging their electronics. Get there early and consider bringing a surge protector.

TOBAY Town Hall North has been opened as a charging station if you feel like venturing to Oyster Bay.

Sun City Tanning (339 Jackson Avenue) tweeted: If you lost power and need to charge your electronic devices, come on down. Both Syosset and Floral Park Locations have power.

Syosset Public Library has plenty of outlets, chairs, and even floor space.

Miscellaneous:

Healthy Living Therapeutic Spa is open and is offering free CranioSacral Therapy sessions to those who have been severely impacted by the storm. Pole and tree climbers may also come in for a complimentary 30-minute massage or reflexology.

Perfect Touch Hair Designers has power and is offering $20 blowouts (good for people without hot water).

PM Pediatrics (596 Jericho Turnpike) is open for after-hours urgent care through college age. Call 516-677-5437.
