Feiner: Auctioneer to be Hired to Sell Former Frank's Nursery

The Greenburgh Town Board  decided to retain the services of GA Keen Realty Advisors to oversee the sale of Frank's nursery. Harold Bordwin, a former Edgemont resident, is the managing director of the company and will be at the Town Board meeting on Wednesday evening. The Board is expected to vote to finalize the retention of GA Keen Realty Advisors in June.  The auction of the Frank's nursery property is expected to take place in the fall of 2014 (probably September). The Town Board interviewed some other commercial realtors/auctioneers in recent months before choosing GA Keen.  Frank's nursery is currently zoned for residential homes or for assisted living.

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TOWN SUPERVISOR TO EXECUTE A RETENTION AGREEMENT WITH GA KEEN REALTY ADVISORS, LLC TO ACT AS THE TOWN’S REAL ESTATE ADVISOR FOR THE DISPOSITION OF THE FORMER FRANK’S NURSERY PROPERTY LOCATED AT 715 DOBBS FERRY ROAD FOR AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED 5% OF THE GROSS PROCEEDS OF THE SALE OF THE PROPERTY

 

 

WHEREAS, the Town of Greenburgh wishes to retain a real estate professional who shall have the sole and exclusive authority to offer the former Frank’s Nursery property for sale or other disposition on an exclusive right to sell basis; and

 

WHEREAS, the Town Board believes that GA Keen Realty Advisors, LLC has the necessary background, knowledge and experience to advise and assist the Town Board in preparing materials and resolving issues with respect to the disposition of the Frank’s Nursery property; and

 

WHEREAS, GA Keen Realty Advisors, LLC’s services would include, among other things, (1) developing and implementing an auction plan for the former Frank’s property, including arranging auction logistics, assisting with auction bid procedures and conducting an auction at the Town’s offices; (2) developing a marketing plan for the property and implementing each facet of the marketing plan; and (3) maintaining a record of communications and coordinating the development of due diligence materials with prospects; and

WHEREAS, the Town Board proposes to retain GA Keen Realty Advisors, LLC for an amount not to exceed 5% of the gross proceeds of the sale of the former Frank’s Nursery property;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Greenburgh hereby authorizes the retention of GA Keen Realty Advisors, LLC to act as the Town’s real estate advisor for the disposition of the former Frank’s Nursery property located at 715 Dobbs Ferry Road for an amount not to exceed 5% of the gross proceeds of the sale of the property.
